STERLING BERKELEY STUDIO HOUSING
BERKELEY, CALIFORNIA: When Studio KDA approached Local Language, they envisioned more than just branded signage—they wanted a statement piece that embodied their client’s identity and values. The result: a custom wall sculpture behind the reception desk that transforms their logo into a vibrant, dimensional work of art.
Visible from the street, the installation weaves together elements of the Berkeley neighborhood, including a partial street grid and a sculptural nod to the iconic UC Berkeley clock tower. Natural textures like dried moss soften the structure, grounding it in the local landscape and reflecting the client’s connection to place and environment.
Using Sterling’s branding palette as our guide, we created a focal piece that’s not only visually striking, but also rich in meaning. It’s more than just decoration—it’s a celebration of community, identity, and thoughtful design.
