Tobias Tovera's paintings inhabit a netherworld between nature, art, and science, by turns evoking mother earth, the cosmos, and inner dream worlds. Calling himself a "spiritual seeker," the artist finds his inspiration in mandalas and geometric symbolism.

Tovera's images are born from a self-taught alchemy; mixing earth-based pigments with mineral salts and pouring them horizontally in multiple layers on wood panels coated with iron oxide, creating colors through chemical interactions and oxidation.
